Local to Global Advocates for Justice
![]() Who we Are and Mission This organization is a group of individuals of African descent and organizations led by and with constituencies of predominantly Afro-descendants, from all socioeconomic backgrounds, committed to grassroots community organizing to strengthen their collective power, coming together to explore the formation of and interest in the creation of local, national and global alliances to represent and promote the interests of Afro-descendants on issues of peace and security, food and agriculture, and environmental, economic and social justice. Our work aspires to fit into the larger movement for social justice by bringing Afro-descendants prominently into that movement. Afro-descendants are the people most affected, except for indigenous people (and many Afro-descendants are indigenous people), by violence, insecurity and war, food and agriculture, climate, environmental injustice and all forms of social injustice.
Our work also aspires to bring issues of particular importance to impoverished and all Afro-descendants into the dialog of the larger movement for social justice. Such issues include but are not limited to: racial discrimination, oppression, harassment, physical attack and victimization by police, governments and other sectors of society such as the Klu Klux Klan in the US and skinheads in Europe, as well as discrimination on the basis of race in access to housing, employment, education, health care, farming, land, a healthy, livable environment and the political systems of their local regions, country and world. 913-945-1333 3156 Wood View Ridge Dr. Kansas City, Kansas 66103 United States Create a Coupon/Classified Ad and Promote it on Facebook & Twitter Map Other Categories: Nonprofit |
